The Foundation

Mission Statement

The mission of the Historic Longmont Foundation is to enhance, elevate and promote the preservation of the Longmont area historical, architectural, visual and environmental heritage through advocacy, education, intervention, and alliance building.

Organization History

Historic Longmont Foundation was founded in 2005 by a group of concerned citizens intent on saving the historic structures on Terry Street located in the West Side Historic District.

Historic Longmont is planning annual programs and events including a lecture series and a tour of historic homes. As an advocate for the preservation of Longmont's history, Historic Longmont Foundation works closely with city and county officials to ensure proper protection is provided to structures with cultural and historical importance. Regardless of the format, Historic Longmont Foundation's efforts focus on improving the quality of life for residents of Longmont and Boulder County and on ensuring that those who visit leave with a positive, lasting impression.

The Historic Longmont Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.
